About BatikShirtShop

Based in New Hampshire, BatikShirtShop.com was established in 2001 with the intent to create t-shirt designs for people who like to wear clothing that has personal meaning to them and expresses a little bit about who they are.

Every design is an original batik painting by artist Ruthellen Kellogg and is then screenprinted on 100% cotton heavy weight shirts in bright colors.

Batik is my chosen medium and I've always felt that the mystical power of batik lends itself perfectly to Celtic designs and fantasy themes. I also do custom work, as in the batik banners above, recently created for a customer in Canada.

Batik has a very ancient look to it, like some kind of artifact ~ the crackle of batik not only makes it look old, like cracks in ancient frescoes, but at the same time gives a sense of life to it - like veins of energy running through the piece. This "batik technique" is very detailed - not a traditional aspect of many batiks. We've been doing batik paintings for about 20 years. I design my t-shirts in vibrant colors with detailed batik images on them that are screenprinted for long life. To know more, please check out "About the Shirts".

Returns

Returns may be made within 30 days of purchase with a Return Merchandise Authorization. Please contact us at rkell@bss.com and state the purpose of your return. All packages must be authorized for return or they will be refused. All merchandise must be returned in same condition as received. No returns will be accepted and no credit given if merchandise appears to have been washed, worn or is in otherwise used or unacceptable condition upon receipt.
